Summary

The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing, planning, and executing electrical projects at our facility. Ensure the safe installation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems in compliance with California electrical codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.

Primary Duties

- Supervise, install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components including wiring, lighting, control systems, and equipment.

- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to ensure proper installation and compliance.

- Lead and mentor journeyman and apprentice electricians; assign tasks and provide on-the-job training.

- Troubleshoot electrical problems and implement effective solutions quickly and efficiently.

- Ensure all work is performed according to local, state (California), and national electrical codes.

- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to support construction and maintenance activities.

- Inspect completed work to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.

- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, inspections, and compliance records.

- Oversee procurement and inventory of electrical supplies and equipment.

- Support energy efficiency initiatives and recommend system upgrades or improvements.

- Draft Standard Operating Procedures, statements of work, and job descriptions

- Oversee, manage, train, evaluate, and certify electrical apprentices and journeyman

- Provide recommendations to work crews to perform to industry best practices

- Perform performance reviews for staff

- Review engineered as-built drawings

- Provide technical expertise

Working Relationships

The Electrical Supervisor will report directly to NAES Renewables VP of Operations and Safety. This position will be responsible for the safety, performance, conduct, evaluation, and practical certification of electrical apprentices.

Compensation

The initial compensation will range from $119,00 to $137,00

Job Qualifications:

- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

- Years of Experience:

- Eight year of progressively responsible electrical experience

- Two years of experience in a supervisory or lead electrician role

- Experience with energy storage systems (ESS) and battery installations

- Preferred Experience:

- Licenses/Certification:

- Valid California State Electrician Certification

- California C-10 electrical license

- Software/Equipment Knowledge:

- Proficient in reading blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.

- Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA systems, and electrical control systems

- Other Considerations:

- Deep knowledge of the California Electrical Code, NFPA 70E, OSHA regulations and industry safety standards.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Familiarity with safety standards and protocols for electrical and solar installations

- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Physical requirements include standing for extended periods of time, stair and ladder climbing and routinely lifting up to 50 pounds. Protective equipment must be worn in the performance of some duties (e.g., hard hats, safety glasses, air masks, ear protection, chemical suits, hot gloves, and high voltage protective equipment, etc.). May be required to work evenings, weekends, or holidays based on project needs. Occasional travel between sites or to local permit offices may be necessary. Work with hazardous materials may be required.

Fit for Duty

All employees will participate in the Fitness for Duty Program. This program includes a post-offer physical examination and drug screening and post-employment random drug screening. There are extensive smoking restrictions in and around the facility.
