The General Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations at the project site, including supervision of site electricians and laborers, coordination of safety compliance activities, and administration of employee timekeeping and reporting. This position plays a key role in ensuring field execution aligns with project schedules, safety standards, and operational goals.
The General Supervisor serves as the primary point of contact between field crews and project management and is expected to uphold company standards in quality, safety, and performance.
- Provide on-site supervision and actively participate in electrical field work, overseeing electricians and field staff to ensure safe, efficient, and timely task execution.
- Conduct daily safety briefings and ensure full compliance with safety documentation requirements, including Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRAs), equipment inspections, and job hazard analyses.
- Perform job walks to assess site conditions and project scopes, identify resource needs, and support accurate project planning.
- Prepare and submit detailed quotes and bids based on site evaluations, labor requirements, materials, and timelines, in coordination with project management.
- Track and verify crew time entries and attendance, reporting discrepancies to Human Resources or the Project Manager as necessary.
- Act as the primary field liaison between site crews and project management, reporting progress, potential delays, and mitigation strategies.
- Enforce all safety policies, company procedures, and applicable regulatory standards on site.
- Monitor and manage use of materials, tools, and equipment to ensure accountability and minimize project waste.
- Support field-level troubleshooting and decision-making in response to evolving site conditions or technical challenges.
- Provide training and mentorship to field personnel to promote a culture of safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of daily site activities, inspections, crew logs, and progress updates.
- Coordinate with project engineers, electricians, and other key stakeholders to align field execution with project goals and timelines.

- Journeyman electrician certification/license required. Or reciprocal with the state of Alaska.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial, or mining operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.- Electrical experience strongly preferred; journeyman certification a plus.
- Strong Knowledge of instrumentation equipment and testing.
- Strong knowledge of testing and commissioning of electrical components.
- Solid understanding of workplace safety standards (MSHA) and jobsite documentation requirements.
- Proficiency in using tablets, apps, or software for daily reporting, time entry, and inspections.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to remote project sites.
- Willing to travel Across the state of Alaska.
