Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead and oversee electrical construction projects on-site. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, extensive construction site experience, and a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and safety protocols. This role involves coordinating teams, ensuring project timelines are met, maintaining quality standards, and managing project budgets. The Electrical Superintendent will play a critical role in delivering successful projects within scope, schedule, and budget constraints while adhering to OSHA regulations and safety standards.
- Lead and supervise electrical construction teams on large-scale projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specifications.
- Develop and manage project schedules using Primavera P6 or construction management software to meet deadlines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to guide installation and troubleshooting activities.
- Oversee quality control processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth workflow and communication.
- Manage procurement of materials and equipment, including heavyBid or other estimating tools for budgeting purposes.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA safety regulations by conducting site inspections and safety meetings regularly.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues early, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work activities, change orders, and contract compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supervise the inspection and testing of electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters to verify proper operation.
- Extensive experience in construction management, project scheduling, and supervising electrical teams on-site.
- Proficiency with Primavera P6, HeavyBid, Bluebeam, construction management software, and other industry-specific tools.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, construction estimating, budgeting, and contracts management.
- Demonstrated ability in quality control procedures and ensuring compliance with OSHA standards.
- Skilled in troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Excellent leadership skills with proven experience in managing teams within a construction environment.
- Knowledge of pipeline projects or heavy civil infrastructure is a plus.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
