Electrical Estimator

Overview

Immediately seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Electrical Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating, project management, and cost control. This role requires proficiency in various estimating software and tools, as well as an understanding of electrical systems and construction contracts. The Estimator will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate pricing and effective negotiation for our projects.

Duties

- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.

- Utilize estimating software to create comprehensive bid proposals.

- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare accurate estimates.

- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for bids.

- Conduct negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing.

- Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing changes, and new materials or techniques.

- Assist in the preparation of contracts and ensure compliance with NEC standards.

Experience

- Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction management principles.

- Familiarity with electrical systems and previous electrical experience is highly desirable.

- Experience using Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or similar estimating software is essential.

- Demonstrated ability in negotiation skills and contract management.

- Previous experience on construction sites is preferred to understand practical applications of estimates.

- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate pricing assessments.

Pay: $64,841.34 - $100,000.00 per year
