Position Overview

The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for evaluating project bid documents and preparing detailed material and service cost estimates for high voltage utility projects. This role plays a critical part in securing new business by ensuring competitive and accurate proposals.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze project bid documents and specifications to determine scope and requirements.

- Prepare accurate material quantity takeoffs and solicit manufacturer pricing and lead times.

- Evaluate supplier quotes for cost efficiency and delivery capability.

- Develop and compile cost estimates and assist with preparing comprehensive bid proposals.

- Identify project risks and provide cost-effective solutions.

- Work closely with customers during the bidding phase to ensure responsiveness and professionalism.

- Collaborate with internal teams to assemble bid packages and support procurement needs.

Qualifications

- 3–5 years of experience in electrical estimating within the high voltage utility industry.

- Familiarity with structural steel and high voltage equipment.

- Ability to read and interpret project drawings and bid specifications.

- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.

- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field preferred.
