Electrical Estimator

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician with estimating experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical systems in commercial settings. The Electrician should be proficient in reading blueprints, using hand tools, and ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can read blueprints and schematics, ensuring that all electrical work is performed safely and in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Duties

- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.

- Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical construction and maintenance projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.

- Review project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to understand project scope and requirements.

- Analyze costs to ensure estimates align with company goals and market competitiveness.

- Prepare and submit comprehensive bid proposals on time.

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.

- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete various electrical tasks.

- Conduct tests using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical issues.

- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations while working on high voltage systems.

- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including those involved in frame carpentry, to complete projects efficiently.

- Document all work performed and maintain accurate records for future reference.

Qualifications

- Proven experience as a commercial Electrician or in a similar role within the electrical field.

- Strong knowledge of NEC guidelines and safety standards related to electrical work.

- Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics related to electrical installations.

- Experience working with both hand tools and power tools specific to the electrical trade.

- Familiarity with high voltage systems is preferred but not mandatory.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.

- Physical stamina and strength to handle the demands of the job

- Certification or licensure as an Electrician is highly desirable.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
