The Electrical Engineer II at Aqua-Chem will be responsible for executing and/or overseeing the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components, for skid-mounted water treatment process equipment and/or field installed wastewater treatment equipment.
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Pay Range: Dependent on Experience | $98,000 - $135,000

- Assists in preparing electrical diagrams, panel drawings, electrical installation drawings, and functional diagrams as well as incorporating changes to drawings.
- Work with and assist technicians, project engineers, project managers, and aftermarket sales with electrical design, calculations, and hardware specification.
- Provides customer support, verifying that design and installation conform to customer requirements.
- Provides direction to Electrical Designers to ensure meeting all customer specifications and all applicable electrical design codes, both domestic and international when required, in particular in the design of control and power panels in accordance with UL508A.
- Attending company meetings and kick-off meetings.
- Handle responsibilities with effective interpersonal skills and to effectively interface with others inside and outside the engineering department.
- Approve drawings/BOMs per established procedures with input from sketches, calculations, specifications, etc.
- Checking the work of other Engineers, designers, and drafters
- Training of other Engineers, designers, and drafters
- Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university
- 5+ years of experience in related electrical design desirable- Experience with AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical in the generation of electrical designs
- Experience with UL508 desirable
- General knowledge of UL, CE, and IEC standards
- Must be able to work for U.S. employer
- Working towards FE/CE certification a plus
- Ability to solve problems using critical thinking, and scientific and analytical skills
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills working within teams.
- Able to work overtime as required
