Electrical AutoCAD Drafter / Entry-Level Electrical Engineer
Location: Houston, TX (Onsite) Employment Type: Full-Time Work Authorization: U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
We are seeking a motivated Electrical AutoCAD Drafter or Entry-Level Electrical Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX. This role supports the development of electrical design packages for industrial and/or oil & gas facilities. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, interest in power and industrial systems, and enjoys working in a collaborative engineering environment.
This is an onsite position with hands-on mentorship and career growth opportunities.
- Create and revise AutoCAD electrical drawings, including:
- One-line diagrams
- Panel schedules
- Cable and conduit routing
- Wiring diagrams and schematics
- Layout drawings
- Support electrical engineers with design and documentation
- Prepare drawing sets for review, permitting, and construction
- Ensure drawings comply with company standards and applicable codes
- Organize and maintain drawing files and documentation
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other disciplines
- Assist with quantity take-offs and material lists
- Perform basic engineering calculations (if engineering graduate)
- Associate degree, technical certification, or relevant drafting experience
- Experience with AutoCAD (2D) required
- 0–5 years of drafting or design experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar discipline)
- 0–3 years of experience — internships/co-ops welcome
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design tools preferred
- Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, utilities, or industrial projects
- Exposure to NEC, IEEE, or industrial design standards
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or Revit (nice to have)
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Good communication and teamwork skills
