Position Overview:
The Electric Install Project Supervisor plays a critical role in managing and overseeing all aspects of electrical install projects that require permitting. This position serves as the central point of communication between customers, electricians, and permitting agencies, ensuring timely and code-compliant execution of electrical repairs, replacements, and new installations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building project timelines, scheduling fieldwork, securing and managing permits, verifying material lists, ensuring high-quality standards on-site, and supporting the development of field technicians through training and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities:
•Build, manage, and maintain install schedules to ensure timely project execution.
•Serve as the primary liaison between customers and electricians for permit-required jobs.
•Coordinate pre-installation site walks, inspections, and customer communications.
•Work closely with city permitting offices to apply for, retrieve, and track necessary electrical permits.
•Stay informed of local jurisdiction codes and requirements to ensure ongoing compliance.
•Perform on-site job visits to verify work quality and adherence to electrical codes.
•Review and confirm material lists for each project to ensure accuracy and completeness.
•Create and maintain purchase orders for all required materials and services.
•Oversee Generac equipment ordering, tracking, and maintenance systems.
•Conduct periodic site inspections throughout the lifecycle of each job.
•Identify and address potential issues proactively to maintain installation quality and safety.
•Provide timely feedback and resolution support to electricians and other stakeholders.
•Support training initiatives to address skill gaps and promote growth opportunities.
•Collaborate with the Department Manager to implement best practices and performance improvements.
Qualifications:
•Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical installation project coordination or supervision.
•Strong understanding of residential/commercial electrical systems and permitting processes.
•Ability to interpret and apply local, state, and national electrical codes.
•Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
•Proficiency in project management tools and order management systems.
•Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites and permitting offices as needed.
Working Conditions:
•Full-time, onsite position with regular office and field responsibilities.
•Travel required to job sites and city permitting offices.
•Must be able to walk through active job sites, climb ladders, and assess workspaces as needed.
