Driver and Helper

We're growing again!

Have you ever dreamed of driving a big green garbage truck but thought you’d never get the chance because you didn’t have a CDL? Well, do we have news for you! We’re a local waste and recycling company hiring helpers and drivers - no special license is needed as all of our trucks are under CDL!

Other duties will include delivering cans, helping with truck maintenance, waving at kids that love the neighborhood garbage truck, and giving treats to the office dog.

We are currently hiring Monday-Friday 6 AM - mid-afternoon depending on the day and route. We have 30-40 hours available per week. (we also offer overtime pay)

Requirements are a good work ethic, valid driver's license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a friendly professional attitude. Previous experience driving larger vehicles or equipment is a plus but not required. Bonus points if you like turtles!

We're looking for employees to stay and grow with our business. Lots of room for growth and upward mobility for the right employees.

- You must be a self-starter and be able to perform tasks independently.

- You must be able to follow routing software and map to different locations.

- A clean driving record is preferred.

- You must also be able and willing to get out of the truck and empty cans. Drivers and helpers will be interchangeable, and we run the routes so that one person isn't out in the heat the entire day. You will spend half the day loading and half the day driving. Willing to make some exceptions if you are an experienced driver with a CDL.

- This is a labor-intensive job and you must have the ability to fetch cans and return cans, and jump in and out of the garbage truck multiple times a day.

Starting rate is $20/hour with room for growth and benefits/PTO in the future as the company grows.
