Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Drafter opportunity in Oak Ridge, TN.
We are seeking a Drafter to support the design and documentation of precision components and systems for an industrial manufacturing project within the nuclear sector. This role is responsible for producing accurate 2D and 3D drawings, updating design documentation, and collaborating with engineers to ensure compliance with technical and regulatory standards.
- Create and revise detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for mechanical components, assemblies, and systems
- Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and models to generate accurate technical drawings
- Ensure drawings comply with ASME standards and project-specific requirements
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to resolve design issues and incorporate changes
- Maintain drawing databases, revision control, and document traceability
- Support the development of bills of materials (BOMs) and manufacturing documentation
- Assist in preparing drawing packages for regulatory reviews and audits
- Ensure adherence to NQA-1 and other applicable nuclear quality standards
- High School Diploma
- Course work in Drafting/Design
- Knowledge of construction projects and ability to read blueprints
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Security clearance. Active clearance is a plus.
