The document specialist, project development supports all development and construction activities associated with one or more new generation projects. Supports the development and construction of new projects by coordinating the storage, filing and retention of all records for the facility including: all contracts, cost information, engineering, plans, permits and the organization and storage of all other project documents necessicary for regulatory proceedings and operations of the facility. This position must maintain a high degree of organization, accuracy, confidentiality and timeliness while working with documents, records and filings.
Support activities for the development and construction of generation projects including due diligence efforts. Organize and manage project development contract documents and maintain and organize project development data. Maintain project development documents in individual electronic and hardcopy files in a way that files can be easily located and identified by various future users and fulfill all legal, regulatory and operational requirements. Assist in preparing reports, processing project information and completing filings of all documentation related to the project. (30%)
Coordinates the flow of project documents to and from internal and external parties managing version control and document procedures to ensure their timely and accurate completion, tracking and storage. Identify and implement process improvements as necessary. (30%)
Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. (10%)
Associate's degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience (Typically three years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess an associate's degree).
Zero to two years of related experience. Project development or generation related experience is preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency in personal computer skills; experience using Microsoft Office software products; proficiency in keying and software program features based on required assessments.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Detail orientation and strong proofreading skills to ensure accuracy.
Effective interpersonal skills, a customer service focus and the ability to work as a member in a team-oriented environment.
Effective organization, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills and experience working with confidential information.
Ability to coordinate schedules and meeting arrangements and organize and maintain records.
