DKL Fuel Driver - Lubbock, TX

The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

Position Description:

- Comply and perform proper methods of loading and unloading various cargos, including hazardous and nonhazardous materials, to include connecting and disconnecting loading and unloading hoses, pressure hose, and product pump; monitoring gauges; opening and closing valves; and gauging depth of product in cargo tank and/or storage tanks.

- Ensure the correct gallons and grades are safely being loaded and delivered at the correct location.

- Safely drive to and from various locations as dispatched.

- Provide fantastic customer service.

- Follow all Department of Transportation safety regulations, all loading facility rules, and all applicable laws at all times.

- Maintain, clean, and perform regular inspections of all company owned and leased equipment.

- Maintain qualification to drive through mandatory physicals, drug screens, license renewals, etc.

- Attend mandatory safety meetings.

Required Qualifications – Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

- Knowledge and Skills Class A commercial driver’s license with hazmat and tanker endorsements.

- Two years of CDL driving experience with hazmat and safe record.

- Maintain qualification to drive as mandated by the Department of Transportation.

- Thorough understanding of hazardous materials pick-up and delivery procedures.

- Understanding of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations with an emphasis on the Hazardous Materials section of the regulations.

- Must be able to work day shift, night shift, weekends, and holidays. The fuel transportation business is 24/7/365.

- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time driving.

- Must be able to bend, lift, carry, connect, disconnect, mount, and dismount heavy pieces of equipment (i.e. commercial grade fuel delivery hoses) and without creating a safety hazard.

- Maintain authorization to load and unload product at facilities we conduct business with once authorized in the training process.
