Overview

Artemis Gold is a well-financed, growth-oriented gold development company with a strong financial capacity aimed at creating shareholder value through the identification, acquisition, and development of gold properties in mining-friendly jurisdictions. Reporting to the Superintendent- Mining, the Dispatch is responsible for scheduling and dispatching workers, work crews, machinery, equipment or service vehicles to achieve optimal production rates.

Location: Blackwater Mine Site - located 160 km south of Prince George, BC.

Schedule: Two (2) Weeks On - Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation

Responsibilities

- Demonstrate effective safety leadership by addressing and enforcing BW Golds safety standards, procedures, and safety systems.

- Schedule and dispatch workers, work crews, equipment, or service vehicles to appropriate locations according to schedules, work orders, specifications, or needs, using radios or telephones.

- Determine types or amounts of equipment, vehicles, or personnel required according to work orders or specifications.

- Dispatch the mine truck fleet to safely maximize production rates.

- Monitor personnel and/or equipment locations and utilization to coordinate service and schedules.

- Arrange for necessary repairs to restore service and schedules.

- Relay work orders, messages and information to or from work crews and supervisors using telephones or two-way radios.

- Serve as central communication personnel for mine production and safety, including emergency events.

- Prepare daily work and run schedules.

- Receive or prepare work orders.

- Oversee all communications within specifically assigned areas.

- Record and maintain files and records of dispatch information.

- Complete shift and production reports in an efficient and timely manner.

Qualifications

- Grade 12 diploma or GED preferred but not essential.

- Previous dispatch experience considered an asset.

- Minestar experience is an asset.

- Experience in a mine operations role required.

Preferred Skills

- Ability to work at a remote location camp on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation

- Ability to work night shift.

- Ability to maintain high levels of performance and attention to detail over a12-hour shift.

- Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills.

- Strong computer skills and a desire to work with and learn new technology systems.

- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent organizational skills.
