Position Summary

The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating daily driver operations, maintaining route accuracy, and ensuring full compliance with transportation regulations. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.

Essential Responsibilities

- Plan, assign, and update daily driver routes to ensure timely and efficient service.

- Monitor routes throughout the day and adjust schedules as necessary.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, providing guidance and operational support.

- Ensure adherence to all company safety policies and procedures.

- Maintain compliance with DOT regulations, including tracking truck inspections, registrations, permits, and required documentation.

- Communicate route changes, service issues, and customer requests to internal teams.

- Respond to operational concerns such as delays, access challenges, and equipment issues.

- Track driver performance using routing, GPS, and dispatch software.

- Analyze route data to identify performance gaps and efficiency improvements.

Minimum Qualifications

- Previous experience in dispatch, transportation, or logistics preferred.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

- Proficient with routing/GPS software or fleet-management tools.

- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work flexible hours when operational demands require.

Work Environment & Expectations

- Office-based position with frequent communication via phone, text, and dispatch systems.

- Occasional flexibility required during high-volume or emergencies.
