Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Construction to lead and oversee all aspects of our construction operations in our Southern California (LA) market. This pivotal role will manage a diverse team, including project managers, installation crews, and office personnel, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial/commercial construction, both as a general contractor and subcontractor, and possess strong leadership and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

+ Lead, mentor, and manage a group of project managers overseeing multiple projects. + Supervise and coordinate company installation crews, ensuring high-quality work and safety compliance. + Oversee and manage office personnel to support project and company operations. + Take full ownership of the division’s Profit & Loss (P&L) performance. + Monitor budgets, expenditures, and financial forecasts to maintain profitability. + Review, interpret, and work from blueprints and technical drawings. + Utilize construction estimating knowledge to assist in bid preparation and cost management. + Ensure projects adhere to industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations. + Oversee construction projects from inception to completion. + Operate effectively as a general contractor, subcontractor or both, navigating diverse project roles and scopes. + Lead and run bi-lingual construction crews, fostering clear communication and an inclusive work environment.
