The Director of SAP Systems will lead the strategy, governance, and delivery of SAP S/4HANA systems under the RISE with SAP model for a global chemicals organization. This role ensures seamless integration of SAP platforms with business processes, drives digital transformation, and maintains compliance with corporate IT and cybersecurity standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Strategic Leadership:

- Define and execute the SAP roadmap aligned with corporate objectives, focusing on RISE with SAP and cloud migration strategies.

- Partner with business leaders to optimize processes across Finance, Supply Chain, Production, and Customer Service.

- System Management & Governance:

- Oversee SAP Basis, Development, and Security teams, ensuring system stability, scalability, and compliance.

- Manage SAP integrations, upgrade cycles, and performance tuning.

- Implement robust data governance and master data management practices.

- RISE with SAP Coordination:

- Collaborate with SAP and managed service providers for technical build, testing, and go-live activities.

- Ensure ECS team is delivering required services in a timely manner adherent to our contractually defined SLAs.

- Team Leadership:

- Direct a team of SAP architects, functional managers, IT advisors, developers, and security analysts.

- Foster professional development and maintain high technical competency within the team.

- Risk & Compliance:

- Ensure adherence to governance, risk, and compliance frameworks, including identity and access management.

- Align with corporate cybersecurity programs and audit requirements.

- Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

- Drive automation, AI integration, and advanced analytics within SAP systems to enhance operational efficiency.

- Promote adoption of best practices and emerging technologies in SAP ecosystem.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.

- 10+ years of experience in SAP leadership roles, with at least 5 years managing SAP S/4HANA environments.

- Strong knowledge of SAP modules: Finance, Material Ledger, Production, Purchasing, Transportation Management, and Customer Service.

- Expertise in SAP Basis, Development, Security, and Integration.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in the chemicals or manufacturing industry.

- Familiarity with SAP AI, automation tools, and advanced analytics.

- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (GRC) and audit processes.
