Solstice Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Director of Sales (Energy Services) for our emissions equipment technology client. Role is REMOTE with approx. 35% travel and can be based in the Houston, Midland, Oklahoma City or Tulsa areas.
- Base salary range: $180k - $200k DOE plus uncapped commission opportunity, company vehicle and excellent benefits

- Bachelors Degree strongly preferred and minimum of 15+ years oil and gas experience including 7+ years of technical sales and business development experience required

The Director of Sales (Energy Services) is responsible for establishing sales relationships with existing and new customers by leveraging technical industry knowledge and a solutions-based approach to grow sales, maximize profitability, and increase market share.
This role focuses on selling production and processing equipment (separators, treaters, dehydration systems) and environmental control equipment (flares, enclosed combustors, vapor recovery units, etc.) for the oil & gas upstream and midstream sectors. The successful candidate will have well-established industry connections and reside within their territorial area (Houston, Midland, Oklahoma City, or Tulsa).
- Develops and executes a strategic sales plan to achieve sales objectives, driving revenue growth and market expansion.
- Mentors a team of Area Sales Managers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure team success.
- Establishes, fosters, and maintains business relationships with current and prospective customers to generate new business for the company’s products and services.
- Make calls, in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers at corporate and/or field headquarters.
- Navigates within organizations to influence decision makers using technical, commercial, and solutions-based skills and experience.
- Gathers and analyzes market intelligence in the upstream and midstream oil & gas market, including competitor activities, to inform strategic decisions.
- Acts as a self-motivated leader with a strong bias toward action, driving team performance and accountability.
- Expedites the resolution of customer challenges and concerns.
- Aligns team efforts with corporate sales strategies and executes them at the highest levels within current and prospective customer organizations.
- Provides management with detailed reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and the potential for new products and services.
- Stays informed of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through reading or pertinent literature.
- Acts as a person of influence with a strong moral compass and impeccable ethics personally and professionally.
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred and 15+ years of experience in the oil & gas industry
- 7+ years of sales experience in oil & gas upstream and midstream environmental control equipment and services
- Extensive network of industry connections in the midstream and upstream oil & gas sectors
- Strong technical knowledge of midstream and upstream equipment
