We are currently seeking a full-time Director of IT
to join our leadership team. This is a key role that offers the opportunity to influence technology strategy, support essential operations, and lead forward-looking improvements that benefit both our workforce and the community.
Position Summary:
The Director of IT is responsible for leading the strategic direction, daily operation, and advancement of Modern Electric Water Company’s technology systems. This leadership role supports all facets of our electric, water, and administrative operations through secure, reliable, and innovative IT solutions.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of IT oversees all aspects of IT infrastructure, including network and systems administration, cybersecurity, contract and vendor management, and core operational applications. The position also serves as the internal expert for critical platforms such as TWACS, Sensus, Meridian, and Report IQ.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative, mission-driven leader who combines deep technical expertise with strategic vision. This role requires the ability to manage complex systems, champion innovation, and lead cross-departmental initiatives that enhance organizational efficiency and resiliency. The Director will also play a central role in business continuity planning, risk management, and long-term technology investment.
Guide IT strategy, mentor team members, and implement training programs aligned with evolving technologies.
Manage utility platforms including TWACS, Sensus, Meridian, GIS, and Report IQ, ensuring accurate data flow and operational alignment.
Lead network security protocols, access controls, compliance audits, and incident investigations.
Oversee system backups, test restorations, and business continuity planning to safeguard critical data.
Direct IT purchasing, vendor relationships, and contract compliance for software and hardware solutions.
Maintain IT infrastructure, conduct upgrades, and troubleshoot systems with minimal disruption.
Ensure end-user support, develop documentation, and lead company-wide IT training efforts.
Contribute to strategic planning, manage IT budgets, and address internal control and regulatory requirements.
