We are seeking a creative, technology adept Marketing Director to lead marketing and communications activities at CarbonQuest - a fast-paced, growth-oriented, technology-driven climate company. In this role you will be responsible for finding the best ways to grow the CarbonQuest profile via marketing content creation, content delivery and communications with media. The goal is to position the company as a leading Distributed Carbon Capture™ provider and a leading climate tech company. The right candidate should be adept at using new technologies such as AI for visual content development, have excellent writing style, and ability to explain complex hardware solutions both visually and on paper in compelling ways.

○ Develop and execute content development, create marketing materials, blogs, and market education. Find creative ways to amp up CarbonQuest’s positioning in the market
○ Expand the company’s online and social media presence
○ Cultivate and implement innovative approaches to marketing content creation via visualizations, presentation decks, website content, and other materials
○ Manage visual content creation consultants on specific projects.
○ Develop a comprehensive plan for content delivery (website, materials, blogs, webinars, hosting events, presentations)
○ Develop and manage conference and trade show strategy for the team
○ Work with external trade show and conference partners on speaking engagements, booths, materials and reporter coverage.
○ Supervise daily activities of an external Communications firm to manage media outreach, content development and communications
○ Come up with new stories and angles to pitch to the media and online
○ Use existing market information to utilize data and statistics for media pitches and content delivery.
○ Work closely with the sales, market development, and product teams to build content and find the best delivery mechanisms
○ Work with the leadership team on interviews, quotes and site visits, as well as speaking engagements.
○ 7-10 years of experience creating marketing content, preferably at an industrial or energy and climate entity
○ Proven track record of content creation and content delivery for a non-software company, preferably in the industrial or energy space.
○ Strong ability to translate ideas into compelling visual and written content
○ Ability to listen and incorporate feedback, but also proactively provide independent ideas for what and how we present to the world for the biggest impact
○ Ability to deliver compelling slides and marketing materials.
○ Passionate about sustainability and the climate tech industry
○ Results-oriented, driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
