As the Director of Financial Planning and Accounting you will assist to oversee the financial planning, analysis, and accounting functions of the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of financial and accounting principles, strategic planning, budgeting & forecasting, financial reporting and financial controls. The Director of Financial Planning and Accounting will work closely with the CFO and other senior leaders to develop and implement financial strategies that support the company's overall business objectives. This role would be required to relocate or reside in Reno, Nevada area. Responsibilities include developing and implementing comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts; analyzing financial data to identify trends, assess performance, and make informed business decisions; ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, including preparation of financial statements and regulatory filings; developing and implementing cost-saving initiatives to improve profitability; ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations; providing strategic financial advice to senior management and supporting business development initiatives; building and scaling a team of finance professionals, including financial analysts, accountants, and budget analysts. Experience required includes a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred; CPA or CFA certification preferred; 10+ years of experience in a senior finance role; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proven track record of financial leadership and success; deep understanding of financial principles, strategic planning, and risk management; startup experience; ERP implementation experience; large capital expenditure project experience; Power/Energy/Utility industry experience; corporate and project level financial modeling.
