The Director, Client Delivery (DCD) has responsibility within Consulting Operations for billable oversight of specified active projects, completing billable work on project assignments, managing and coaching a Manager, Client Delivery or Sr. Mgr. Client Delivery, and supporting one internal operations effort. The DCD is a member of the Consulting Operations leadership team and participates in strategic planning and key departmental decisions.
The DCD focuses on client delivery and operational excellence across multiple projects. The DCD oversees 1–3 large projects, tier 1 clients (i.e., $500,000+, >3 resources), leading resourcing decisions, ensuring production services is leveraged where applicable, monitoring project health (e.g., quality, financial, customer service), and interacting with the client. The DCD works closely with the Vice President, Consulting Operations, Practice Area Leads, Operations Managers, and Project Managers to support Mosaic’s culture and the professional development efforts of team members. The DCD is responsible for client success through the review of deliverables, gathering and sharing client feedback, and providing specific and timely feedback to managers to support ongoing professional development. The DCD is responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and within scope. The DCD acts as strategic advisor on projects as required and is involved in sales activities, RFP preparation, and development of SOWs and pricing estimates.
Roles and Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Director, Client Delivery role are as follows:
Client Delivery
•Oversight of specified projects, including coaching the team and participating in weekly internal status meetings.
•Partner with project lead to coordinate client project kick-off.
•Ensure project deliverables meet client and Mosaic quality standards, are in scope, and satisfy Statement of Work (SOW) requirements.
•Conduct regular check-ins with clients to ensure projects are meeting client expectations.
•Partner with VP Consulting Operations and Practice Area leads to plan and participate in QBRs and other strategic level client meetings.
•Act as escalation point for project leads as appropriate for project level risks and issues.
•Partner with VP Consulting Operations, Practice Area Leads, and Sales on scope changes, change orders, changes in project budget.
•Partner with Client Development team as appropriate to participate in sales calls, and scope and estimate new projects.
•Manage resolution of project issues in partnership with project lead and VP as appropriate.
•Support sales activities, RFP preparation, and scoping and estimating projects as required.
•Represent Mosaic at industry events, conferences, and tradeshows.
Resource Planning
•Partner with project leads and resourcing team to ensure appropriate resourcing for assigned projects.
•Research resource options by reviewing work histories and gathering feedback as input for resourcing discussions with VP.
•Escalate resource and performance issues to project leads, Consulting Operations Managers, and leadership as appropriate.
•Partner with Consulting Operations Managers and project leads to provide specific and timely feedback to support individual professional development.
•Participate in candidate interviews, as requested, to support hiring and talent management.
Leadership
•Step into VP role temporarily as needed based on VP availability.
•Represent Consulting Operations in Company meetings as appropriate.
•Actively participates in companywide meetings/activities as a representative of Mosaic leadership.
•Take responsibility for informal and formal coaching, performance management, and employee recognition for resources on assigned projects.
•Has Mgr., and/or Sr. Mgr., Client Delivery direct reports.
•Provide direct oversight to ensure project teams have the right tools, support, and resources to complete work outlined in the SOW successfully
Operations
•Partner with VP and Consulting Operations Managers to develop strategies to improve quality and productivity.
•Responsible for active leadership in at least one internal operations initiative (i.e. resourcing team, production services, client delivery team development etc.) as assigned by the VP Consulting Operations.
•Partner with Controller to coordinate internal project kick-off materials and kick-off meeting.
•Meet with Director/VP bi-weekly to provide status of assigned projects, escalating issues timely.
•Partner with Controller to ensure projects are on-time, on budget, and within scope.
•Review and confirm project plan with Project Lead and Controller.
•Review and approves time and expense reports as appropriate, ensuring project resources are billable based on project plan, budget, and utilization targets.
•Adhere to corporate policy, project quality and deliverables. Maintains a clear line of sight.
•Provide project guidance in accordance with the governance process outlined in Mosaic's data retention policy.
•To respond to client and project needs effectively, roles and responsibilities will vary and may include additional responsibilities not listed.
Skills and Experience
•Advanced consulting experience and project experience.
•Advanced utility industry knowledge with advanced knowledge and experience within at least one industry and/or consulting discipline (i.e. Gast FOT, Electric, Change Management, Project Management etc.)
•Demonstrated success in providing exceptional client service to external clients.
•Executive presence and ability to interact with executive level client contacts.
•Strong knowledge and understanding of project controls and project management concepts with experience managing large teams.
•Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
•Superior oral and written communication and presentation skills.
•Ability to communicate and present complex information clearly and concisely.
•Advanced interpersonal and leadership skills, including team building, negotiation, active listening skills, and an ability to deliver difficult messages and feedback.

The compensation range considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making hiring and compensation decisions. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Mosaic strives to set salaries at, or near the 50th percentile (midpoint) of the range and it is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the range for the position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $160,000.00 to $180,000.00. This position is eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus program of up to 10% of annual compensation. The bonus program is dependent on a variety of factors including organizational and individual performance.
