Summary
The Chief of Staff will serve as the right hand to the SVP of StratoSight™ overseeing the development and coordination of all back-office functions required to scale the business from early-stage launch to national deployment. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic planning with operational execution across HR, Finance, IT, Legal, and Procurement.
Primary Duties
•Design and implement the operating structure for StratoSight’s back-office (HR, Finance, IT, Legal, Procurement)
•Lead and manage initial outsourced and fractional support relationships, transitioning to in-house staff as scale permits
•Partner with administrative processes including payroll, benefits, onboarding, compliance, and internal communications
•Partner with the GM and executive leadership to develop and track strategic goals, KPIs, and operational performance metrics
•Support budget planning, P&L management, and monthly operating reviews in partnership with NAES corporate finance
•Lead technology enablement initiatives, ensuring systems are in place to support HRIS, ERP, asset tracking, and operational workflows
•Interface with legal and compliance teams to manage contracts, insurance, and regulatory filings
•Coordinate cross-functional projects and ensure deadlines, resources, and risks are managed across workstreams
•Serve as a cultural steward and internal communications lead as the team grows from 10 to 50+ employees
•Assist in recruiting and onboarding top talent in conjunction with department heads and NAES talent acquisition
Working Relationships
The Director, Chief of Staff will report to the SVP. Oversee and manage subordinate staff.
Compensation
The initial compensation will range from $163,000 - $187,000
Education and Experience:
•Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or related field
•Preferred Education: MBA
•Years of Experience: Eight+ years of progressive experience in operations, administration, or business management
•Prior experience as Chief of Staff, Director of Operations, or equivalent role in a startup, high-growth, or technical services environment
Specific Skills and Knowledge
•Strong financial and analytical skills, with comfort managing budgets and operating plans
•Experience working with or managing outsourced service providers and systems integrators
