Director of Operations
to join our team.
The Director of Operations provides on-site project direction relative to personnel, equipment, yard management, scheduling, tasking, traffic control, mechanics, quality control, and materials. This includes budget oversight and scheduling responsibilities. The Director of Operations adheres to and enforces the Company’s safety, quality standards, efficiency, and security requirements. The Director of Operations is a strong leader who is proactive and performs well under pressure.
Duties And Responsibilities•Lead and manage construction support teams and ensure all work supporting the project sites and field operations is prepared in advance of our crews executing their work.
•Coordinates and is responsible for yard management, equipment, scheduling, tasking, traffic control, quality control, mechanics, and materials.
•Verify that all equipment and tools meet company standards and specifications.
•Supports the Director of Operations, Superintendents, General Foremen, and the back office.
•Works closely with the Director of Operations, Superintendents, General Foremen, and Project Managers to oversee construction budget, monitor expenditures, and invoices
•Manages, monitors, and updates overall project schedules and customers' performance scorecards.
•Make changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction deadlines.
•Customize the Company’s O&M policies and procedures to successfully support installation procedures.
•Participate in interviews as required.
•Assist in the mobilization of Company forces.
•Hold regularly scheduled meetings with staff and peer leadership team.
•Maintain records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders, and RFIs.
•Monitor and ensure on-site safety compliance and that all work is performed to Company policies, procedures, and standards.
•Perform as Liaison with Customers, Vendors, Inspection Authorities, and other external Resources as needed for tracking and approvals.
•Other duties as assigned.

Skills And Qualifications
•Five to seven (5-7) years’ experience as a Construction or Utility Superintendent.
•Previous construction or field experience in the high-voltage electric industry.
•Knowledge of electric distribution, transmission, and substation projects is preferred.
•Familiar with Southern California Edison (SCE) construction standards and job aids. Experience in applying and interpreting IBEW contracts.
•Must be proficient with MS Office Word and Excel.
•Previous experience with project scheduling software.
•Knowledgeable with utility construction and budgeting best practices, with the ability to implement and monitor.
•Familiar with CAD applications and able to interpret and implement assignments according to drawings, specifications, and other documents.
•Effective leadership abilities, such as motivation and conflict management.
•Strong organizational skills to include effective time management, delegation, prioritization, and multitasking.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
•You must be able to work in the US without current or future sponsorship.
•Military Base Security Clearance may be required for this position.
•Valid driver’s license with a record that meets the CLP Fleet Policy.

•Annual payrate range: $250,000 - 375,000 based on experience.
