Red Elephant is seeking a Design Manager to guide the creative and technical direction of our design department. In this role, you’ll oversee the full lifecycle of signage design—from bold concepts to production-ready files—ensuring every project meets the highest standards of creativity, accuracy, and impact.

Our team designs, manufactures, and installs:

- Large-format graphics

- Interior and exterior signage

- Leasing and monument signs

- Electric building signs

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and mentor the design team, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for professional growth.

- Oversee the design process for all signage projects, from concept development to design intent documentation and final production files.

- Collaborate with project managers, fabricators, and installers to ensure designs are accurate, feasible, and impactful.

- Ensure all design work complies with ADA, zoning codes, brand standards, and client specifications.

- Engage directly with clients, architects, and consultants to understand project goals and present compelling design solutions.

- Manage workflow, schedules, and departmental resources to deliver projects on time and at the highest quality.

- Establish and maintain design standards, templates, and best practices.

- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the design department.

Requirements

- 7+ years of design experience, including at least 3 years in a management role.

- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Environmental Design, Architecture, or related field.

- Strong portfolio demonstrating architectural signage, environmental graphics, or wayfinding design.

- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and signage design software (3D modeling a plus).

- Solid understanding of fabrication methods, materials, and installation techniques.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts to clients and teams.

- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong time management skills.

Pay: $61,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
