Design Engineer

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review assigned projects and determine priority for action.

Confer with other staff regarding customer requirements, product design, and manufacturing capabilities.

Maintain a working knowledge of Glas-Col products and their applications in industrial environment.

Provide technical assistance to other internal departments.

Design custom Glas-Col heating devices and system components.

Prepare technical drawings and diagrams to support the design process per job specifications.

Evaluate customer input specifications and product design outputs.

Support product and component testing.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervises production employees in the manufacture of custom products according to the specifications and requirements outlined in the product design.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university in mechanical engineering, design technology, graphical design or related design/engineering field. AutoCAD or similar design software experience required.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
