Job Summary
The purpose of this role is to develop the product line engineering for assigned quarter turn valves. The role entails activities dealing with issues of product design and manufacturing, sales/quoting support, production costs, feasibility, quality, performance, reliability, serviceability and customized user features.
Duties
•
Manages design projects involving complex designs, including oversight of resources and technical issues
•
Demonstrates ability to handle multiple product lines, interfacing with sales, manufacturing, quality and other plant personnel as needed to support assigned product lines
•
Develops engineering standards and work procedures
•
Ensures on-time performance of assigned tasks
•
Successfully implements project deliverables
•
Drives product cost reduction
•
Leads time reduction activities
•
Provides engineering analysis quality
•
Provides responses to internal and external customer feedback
Requirments
•
Product engineering experience in a valve manufacturing environment
•
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree
•
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously utilizing advanced project management tools, methods, and applications
•
Familiarity with and understanding of various International Standards relating to valves
•
Computer-Assisted Design/3-Dimensional design, Solid works and/or Inventory
•
FEA Analytics
•
Engineering documentation, drafting, geometric dimensioning and tolerance
Preferences: + 3-5+ years' experience in a high temperature ball valve design
