Design Engineer I - Electric Utility Projects

- The objective of this role is to scope, design and develop electrical service systems for new customers.

- You will be responsible for customer interaction, scoping and cost estimation.

- You will be responsible for providing a design package that meets customer needs.

- You will often meet with the customer and construction crews on site to review the scope of our design and discuss project execution.

- Client Facing Experience

- This is a primarily work-from-home position that has required fieldwork we’re hiring across PPL Electric Utilities’ service territory including: Lock Haven, Bloomsburg, Sunbury, Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, Hazleton, East Stroudsburg, Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, Harrisburg, Hershey, Lancaster, Doylestown, and nearby areas.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET accredited university

- 0-1 years of relevant work experience in consulting or related field

- Knowledge of Computer Aided Design or GIS Design is a plus

- Strong work ethic with desire to work in a production environment
