Position: Data Analyst Intern
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Technical Writing Intern to support our MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) team. This internship will provide hands-on experience working closely with our MRO Analyst to create and improve maintenance documentation, including Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs), Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks, and Checklists.
This role is ideal for someone interested in technical communication, maintenance operations, or asset management, and looking to gain real-world exposure to MRO processes and systems.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
•Assist the MRO Analyst in developing clear, concise, and accurate maintenance documentation.
•Write and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to standardize maintenance tasks.
•Create detailed Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks to help schedule and manage routine equipment upkeep.
•Develop and maintain maintenance Checklists to ensure compliance and quality control.
•Collaborate with maintenance teams and subject matter experts to gather information and validate content.
•Ensure all documentation meets company standards for clarity, accuracy, and usability.
•Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying gaps or inconsistencies in existing documentation.
•Understanding of data preparation and data validation
•Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs and macros
•Strong cross-functional communication skills; ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats
•Coordinate with various teams to ensure timely completion of projects
•Organizing and maintaining data
Requirements:
•Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Technical Writing, Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
•Strong written communication skills with an eye for detail.
•Ability to understand technical information and translate it into clear, user-friendly documents.
•Familiarity or interest in maintenance management systems (experience is a plus but not required).
•Basic understanding of maintenance processes and terminology is preferred.
•Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and willingness to learn new software tools
•Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
•Must be available to work on-site

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
