Position Summary
The IT Business Analyst is responsible for business solutions utilizing Microsoft Dynamics 365—including HRM & Recruiting, Finance & Operations (F&O), self-service, and systems integrations. This role partners with business leaders and software engineers to translate needs into scalable D365 solutions, drive cross-functional process improvements, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Enterprise Analysis & Design: Lead discovery workshops and process mapping (current → future state) across HR, Finance, Operations, and Customer functions; define KPIs and value hypotheses
- D365 Platform Enablement – HRM & Recruiting (required experience): Configure positions/jobs/orgs; requisition and approval workflows; interview, offer, and onboarding; compensation & benefits; leave/absence; employee/manager self-service.
- D365 Platform Enablement – F&O: Support Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, Project Accounting, inventory/WMS, and financial dimensions; ensure clean data handoffs with HRM and CRM.
- Integrations & Data: Collaborate with software engineers to design/validate integrations using Dataverse/Dual-write, Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, APIs/SFTP to payroll, background screening, LMS, identity/SSO, e-signature, and external platforms. Own data readiness: DMF templates, data quality rules, deduplication, reconciliation, and cutover checklists when needed.
- Delivery & Quality: Manage backlog, dependencies, and traceability in Azure DevOps; coordinate environments and LCS items. Define test strategies; author RSAT/UAT scripts; run UAT and sign-offs; track benefits realization post-release.
- Security, Compliance & Change: Design/validate roles, duties, privileges, and SoD controls—especially for sensitive HR data. Produce user documentation (SOPs, job aids).
- Enablement & Training (per module): Lead hands-on workshops and role-based trainings for HRM/Recruiting, F&O, and Self-Service/Power Platform. Develop curricula, quick-start guides, recorded demos, and adoption metrics.
- Platform Administration — Azure DevOps (Admin Support): New user setup, project/team configuration, dashboard maintenance, iteration/sprint build-out, and basic permission/governance hygiene.
- Platform Administration — Concur (Admin Support): New user setup, corporate card assignment, end-user support and troubleshooting, list/policy maintenance, and standard reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, HR Tech/HRIS, Business, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 3–5+ years as a Business Analyst/HRIS Analyst/Product Analyst delivering enterprise applications.- Demonstrated, hands-on experience with D365 HRM & Recruiting and exposure to F&O capabilities.
- Experience in Azure DevOps Administration including new user setup, project/team configuration, dashboard maintenance, and iteration/sprint build-out.
- Experience in Concur Administration including new user setup, corporate card assignment, end-user support/troubleshooting, list/policy maintenance, and standard reporting.
- Platform & Process: Practical knowledge of D365 HRM/Recruiting, F&O financials/operations, and CRM/CE; strong grasp of SDLC (agile/waterfall).
- Technical: DMF, Dataverse/Dual-write, Azure Logic Apps/Power Automate, APIs, basic SQL for validation, RSAT/UAT, LCS, Azure DevOps, and Concur.
- Business Acumen: Cross-functional flows (hire-to-retire, record-to-report, procure-to-pay, lead-to-cash) and regulatory needs.
- Communication & Facilitation: Translate between business and technical teams; lead workshops and trainings; negotiate priorities and drive decisions.
- Detail & Rigor: Version-controlled requirements, test assets, security matrices, and audit-ready documentation.
- Change Enablement: Clear training and communications to champion self-service adoption.
- Work Environment: This job primarily operates in a professional office setting but must be able to traverse construction sites as required.
- Physical Demands: This role requires the ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer. Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
