Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) Developer

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and maintain customizations and extensions for Dynamics 365 Business Central using AL language, .NET (C#), Power Platform, SQL and JavaScript.

· Collaborate with ERP manager and business users to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.

· Design, build, and deploy scalable, upgrade-safe BC solutions following Microsoft best practices.

· Integrate Business Central with third-party systems via APIs, web services, and data connectors.

· Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization for Business Central.

· Participate in version upgrades, migrations, and testing activities.

· Create technical documentation, system design specifications, and user guides.

· Ensure solutions align with business processes and IT security standards.

· Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve system errors, data inconsistencies, and user-reported issues.

· Collaborate with IT, vendors, and stakeholders to implement system enhancements, patches, and updates.

· Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and recommend preventive measures.

· Assist with configuration changes, permission management, and system security reviews.

· Participate in system audits, data integrity checks, and continuous improvement initiatives.

· Maintain accurate documentation of processes, configurations, and customizations.

· Monitor systems performance and escalate critical issues as needed.

· Support manager to develop management reports via power BI.

· Support other inquires for ERP, Sales Hub and Customer Service Hub systems.

Qualifications

Education & Experience：

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

· 3–5+ years of experience developing and customizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC)。

· Proven experience in ERP implementation, custom extensions, and data integrations within manufacturing, distribution, or financial environments.

Technical Skills

· Strong proficiency in AL language and C/AL development within Visual Studio Code and AL Extension for Dynamics 365 BC.

· Hands-on experience with API integrations, Web Services (SOAP, OData, REST), and EDI data exchange.

· Understanding of Azure Functions, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse integration is a strong asset.

· Experience with SQL Server, Jet Reports, and Business Central administration tools.

· Familiarity with AppSource publishing, version control (Git/Azure DevOps), and CI/CD pipelines.

Functional Knowledge

· Good understanding of financial, supply chain, manufacturing, and inventory management processes.

· Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

· Ability to perform system testing, debugging, data migration, and user support during implementation and post-go-live phases.

Soft Skills

· Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

· Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver high-quality results within deadlines.

· Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying and resolving issues.

Certifications (Preferred)

· Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate or Developer Associate.

· Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or related cloud certification.
