PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Act as an initial point of contact for potential customers and a helpful touchpoint for existing customers by providing accurate, clear, and engaging information about our products and services. Initiate conversations to understand customer needs and lay the groundwork for further engagement with our sales team.
Involves door-to-door responsibilities, requiring in-person visits to potential/existing customers at their homes or places of business to introduce products and services.

•Deliver a personalized approach by effectively communicating the value and benefits of our products and services to each customer.
•Engage customers through thoughtful questions to uncover their needs and concerns, helping them understand how our products and services can assist.
•Leave behind company-provided brochures or flyers when customers are unavailable or do not answer the door, ensuring they still receive key information.
•Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and feedbackto support any needed follow-up.

Minimum Qualifications:
Required: A combination of relevant work experience and/or education sufficient to perform the duties of the job may substitute to meet the total years required on a year-for-year basis*
Preferred:
•High School diploma or equivalent
•Previous experience in customer service, sales, or outreach roles.
•Telecommunications experience.
Alaska Arctic Region – identified as the towns of Utqiaġvik (Barrow), Bethel, Dillingham, Kotzebue, Nome, Dutch Harbor, and similar towns in the region.
•The candidate must reside in the specific location associated with this job opening.
•High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous work experience preferred.
DRIVING REQUIREMENTS :
•This position may require access to reliable transportation for occasional travel between retail store locations, offices, worksites, or other locations as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS and WORKING CONDITIONS:
•Involves door-to-door responsibilities, requiring in-person visits to potential/existing customers at their homes or places of business to introduce products and services.
•Requires the ability to stand or walk for extended periods (4–5 hours) in typical Alaska weather conditions.
•May encounter unrestrained animals/pets and upset customers.
•Must be able and willing to work flexible hours including, but not limited to, weekends, holidays, and evenings.
•Ability to accurately communicate information and ideas to others effectively.
•Physical agility and effort sufficient to perform job duties safely and effectively.
•Ability to make valid judgments and decisions.
•Must work well in a team environment and be able to work with a diverse group of people and customers.
The company and its subsidiaries operate in a 24/7 environment providing critical services to Alaskans and may need to respond to public health and safety matters or other business emergencies. Due to business needs employees may be contacted outside of the core business hours to respond to the immediate emergency. As such, you will be requested to provide emergency after hours contact numbers, to include your home and cell phone numbers if you have those services.
