We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary

Under general supervision, Customer Billing Representative II is responsible for administering and supporting the billing processes for Dominion Energy and its subsidiaries. This intermediate-level role involves preparing and processing customer bills, generating billing reports, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of billing operations.

The representative performs both routine and complex billing tasks, including analyzing billing data, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining billing system controls. This role requires a strong understanding of billing systems, rate structures, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Administer daily billing operations and ensure timely, accurate bill generation for residential, Large industrial/commercial accounts, key account billing, Solar and renewable energy customers. Monitor and reconcile data from billing and metering systems. Research and resolve routine to complex billing issues. Enter billing adjustments and apply appropriate rate schedules based on customer type. Audit and review billing cycles to identify and resolve discrepancies. Interpret contracts and regulatory requirements to ensure billing compliance. Participate in testing and implementation of billing system enhancements. Recommend and implement corrective actions for billing issues. Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly billing reports for management. Provide billing support during emergency or storm response events. Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Customer Solutions, Accounting, Construction) to resolve billing discrepancies. Assist other departments in understanding billing systems, tariffs, and procedures.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience 3+ years in customer service, credit, payments, accounting, or related discipline.

- Strong understanding of company billing policies, procedures, and rate schedules.

- Proficiency in customer billing systems and Microsoft Excel/Word.

- Excellent math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently with accuracy and efficiency.

- Strong decision-making and troubleshooting capabilities.

- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

- Customer service-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Associate
