POSITION SUMMARY: The Custodian Team Leader will be a working janitorial position as well as oversee all aspects related to cleaning duties and materials inventory across all Divisions.
REPORTS TO: General Manager of Property Division
- Perform daily cleaning duties of assigned location(s)
- Develop, lead and oversee the work of all custodians to maintain a clean environment across all locations
- Inventory control – Ordering, warehouse organization, and distribution across all locations
- Effective communication to bridge the overall Property Management team (Building, Grounds, Custodial)
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire Custodial process
- Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
- Regular and timely attendance are an expectation of the position.
- Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes.
- Previous custodial experience required.
- Previous Inventory Control experience preferred but not required
- Previous experience with a fork truck preferred but not required. Or willingness to learn.
- Self-starter that takes initiative with a high attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills with the ability to lead and motivate
- Ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines
- Excellent attendance & punctuality
- Valid driver’s license required to drive company vehicle
- Physical Activity: Talking, hearing, repetitive motion, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, and climbing stairs
- Physical Requirements: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
