Function:
Keep control of the inventory of products of the Terminal. Fill the tankers safely and meeting customer’s expectations as regards quantity and quality.
Key responsibilities (List major areas of position responsibilities, in priority order)
- Follow, without exception, with operating procedures for any activity within the facilities.
- Support to Operations Supervisor during Ship receipt to record all discharging activities as statement of facts, rates, pressures, and other documentation asked by the Operations Supervisor.
- Support to Operations Supervisor during Ship receipt
- Assume the role of a leader and mentor to Junior operators
- Responsible for on the job Junior Operator Training
- Assist in Safety documentation and compliance
- Perform alignments as part of the preparation for ship or transfers operations.
- Maintain periodic monitoring of pipelines during ship or transfers operations.
- Maintain record of generators fuel tanks inventory and Slops tanks volume.
- Maintain Spill control equipment inventory update.
- Perform and comply with all daily, weekly and monthly areas inspection and inventories.
- Assure good housekeeping environment in all areas within the facilities.
- Keep daily control of fuel inventory by means of physical measurements and ATG to monitor movements of fuel.
- Support in tank product draining and transfer activities.
- Perform verification level and/or temperature measurements and check that measurements are being taken conscientiously in all tanks.
- Keep control of fuel exports to other terminals and coordination of related activities.
- Filling of fuel to tankers arriving at the Terminal, in a fast and safe manner, by means of the loading equipment.
- Revise and fill in all documents required for filling trucks verifying with the driver the product (s) to be loaded as well as the volume(s) of the same.
- Provide maintenance services to the loading equipment and execution to the preventive maintenance program of the Terminal without interfering with the daily filling of trucks.
- Loading rack assistance and troubleshooting
- Support in tank product draining and transfer activities
Identify system and equipment malfunction and safety hazards. Prepare Acts/Conditions unsafe reports according with SAPS and company policies to ensure that work within the facilities is performed in maximum security and safety conditions.
- Participate in all training courses scheduled by HSSE, Operations, HR as well as in all contingency drills.
- Comply with any task entrusted by the Operations Supervisor and/or Operations Manager.
