Resolute Living is looking for a dedicated Custodian/Cleaner to maintain and create safe, clean, and welcoming spaces for our employees, clients, and tenants.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across office and residential buildings, including restrooms, kitchens, lobbies, common areas, and meeting rooms. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in delivering a consistently clean environment.
- Maintain high-touch surface sanitization in restrooms, kitchens, lobbies, and other common areas to prevent the spread of illness.
- Monitor cleanliness and safety conditions; promptly report hazards, damage, or maintenance needs.
- Handle, store, and label cleaning chemicals safely, in compliance with WHMIS standards.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and meeting areas daily.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors; dust work surfaces and furniture.
- Empty and sanitize waste bins and recycling stations.
- Keep entrances, stairways, and reception areas clean and hazard-free.
- Maintain cleanliness in lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, and other shared spaces.
- Clean and sanitize garbage and recycling bins.
- Ensure glass, mirrors, and entryways are streak-free and welcoming.
- Replenish shared area supplies (e.g., soap, paper towels) as needed.
- Greet tenants and staff in a friendly, professional manner.
- Respond promptly to urgent cleaning or sanitation requests.
- Contribute to a positive living and working environment by ensuring spaces are consistently well-maintained.
- Previous cleaning or custodian experience (commercial or residential) preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple locations.
- Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift up to 50 lbs, and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and eco-friendly practices.
