Janitor/Cleaner

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in commercial spaces. This role is essential in ensuring that our facilities are welcoming and safe for all visitors and staff. Duties

- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting of floors and surfaces.

- Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment.

- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.

- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and report any shortages or needs for replenishment.

- Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.

- Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies as needed.

- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to ensure cleanliness standards are met.

Skills

- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify areas needing attention.

- Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment used in commercial environments.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

- Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

One 3 to 4 hour shift during the week and another on the weekend.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.85-$34.73 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
