Outdoor Custodian

Now Hiring: Outdoor Custodian Pay Rate: $22+/hour

We are currently seeking applicants for outdoor Landscape Maintenance and Beautification work. This position focuses on maintaining and enhancing the appearance of public accessways, green spaces, and high-visibility corridors throughout the community. The ideal candidate will take pride in helping create welcoming, well-kept environments that contribute to the overall vibrancy and visual appeal of shared outdoor areas.

Core Duties Include:

- Maintain landscaping in assigned public areas, including pruning, weeding, mulching, and seasonal planting

- Perform routine care of trees, shrubs, groundcover, and flower beds to promote healthy growth and visual harmony

- Remove litter, fallen branches, and debris from landscaped zones, sidewalks, medians, and pedestrian pathways

- Identify and report damaged irrigation systems, unsafe infrastructure, or areas in need of improvement

- Maintain hardscapes and decorative features such as planter boxes, benches, and public art installations

- Enhance the overall beautification of walkable corridors and shared-use spaces through attention to detail and cleanliness

- Work both independently and as part of a team to meet daily and long-term maintenance goals

Qualifications:

- Clean and professional appearance

- Valid and current driver's license with a clean driving record

- Flexible schedule including availability during weekdays and occasional weekends

- Prior experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or related outdoor maintenance preferred

- Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools

- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform continuous outdoor work for 8-hour shifts

- Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions with provided safety and weather gear

- Strong attention to detail, work ethic, and pride in creating visually appealing spaces

- Must provide references
