Reporting to the Supervisor, Warehouse this is a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in either Goose Site or MLA Nunavut, Canada.
· Warehouse and laydown management. Coordinate and monitor the logistics of the movement of parts, supplies, and materials to ensure the shipping and receiving of materials meet deadlines in a safe and efficient manner;
· Shipping, receiving and attending inbound cargo planes; Direct materials to appropriate lay down areas;
· Monitor and maintain inventory levels and prepare and maintain various reports on the progress of work, materials used, rates of production and other information using manual or computerized systems. Support the internal and external year-end audit and assist with various reporting as required;
· Operate forklift/ telehandler in a safe manner and manage fuel storage;
· Refresh report data and review material expediting reports on a routine scheduled basis. Log issues and relevant order status information daily;
· Contact vendors to establish status of material and service orders, and provide necessary follow up to buyers, end users, vendors and consolidation/transit points as required;
· Provide regular interface/updates to the buyers and end users regarding delivery schedules, vendor performance, or other issues related to material deliveries;
· Provide material control support as required/requested for sealift and ice road logistics;
· Ensure all materials are documented and located by bin and area locations; Collect and process all receiving documentation;
· Assist with development of warehouse, assembly of shelving/racking and all related warehousing duties; and
· General warehouse cleanup, laydown cleanup, and maintenance duties as required.
· Three (3) years' relevant experience in Material Handling, Warehousing, Logistics and Expediting in a remote mine environment with limited access to resources required. Knowledge of mine process equipment and underground mining equipment and materials considered an asset;
· Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related required;
· Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and WHMIS certification required; Forklift and Telehandler certification required; and
· Previous experience using Microsoft Suite with a comprehensive understanding of inventory management and warehouse processes required;
For informational purposes, the estimated annual earnings are $112,307.00 for 2184 scheduled hours (combined regular hourly rate of $40.75 and overtime rate of $61.13) in a work year.
