Conversion & Implementation Specialist

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Conversion & Implementation Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting new client onboarding through data conversions, ERP implementations, and database configuration. This client-facing position requires a unique combination of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and relationship management.

The ideal candidate brings deep familiarity with oil & gas data structures and ERP systems, along with the ability to translate legacy systems into clean, validated environments that support long-term business success.

JOB DUTIES

Data Conversion & Migration

• Lead and execute full-cycle data conversions from legacy systems into oil & gas ERP platforms

• Review and validate incoming client data for consistency, accuracy, and completeness

• Design and maintain ETL workflows using tools such as Alteryx, SQL, and Excel

• Document mapping logic, configurations, validation processes, and audit trails

Client Implementation & Communication

• Participate in weekly client-facing calls to gather requirements, manage timelines, and provide project updates

• Serve as a key technical resource and point of contact for assigned client projects

• Coordinate with internal Accounting, Land, and IT teams to ensure aligned implementation efforts

Project Management & Support

• Configure client databases according to internal standards and project specs

• Monitor timelines, flag potential risks, and proactively escalate or resolve issues

• Assist with one-time data projects, audits, or cleanup initiatives as needed

SKILLS

• Advanced Excel and SQL skills

• Experience with Alteryx or similar data blending/transformation platforms

• Strong understanding of oil & gas accounting and land data structures

• Excellent communication skills and client-facing presence

• Strong problem-solving mindset with acute attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a deadline-driven environment

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Business, or related field

• Minimum 5 years of experience in oil & gas ERP implementations or accounting systems

• Experience working with oil & gas ERP software (e.g., W Energy, Quorum, Pak, Excalibur, BOLO, etc.)

• Prior consulting or professional services experience (preferred)

• Familiarity with additional ERP systems or third-party conversion tools (preferred)
