NOTE: This is a 40 hour/week contract (Staff Augmentation) position expected to last through the end of 2026. Work will be based out of our Houston, TX office, and priority consideration will be given to candidates in the Houston area who have the ability to come into the office on a weekly basis (does not need to be every day). Alternatively, remote work is acceptable with a commitment of traveling to the Houston office 1 week/month. NuScale's Houston office is currently located in the Galleria Tower 1.
POSITION SUMMARY: This position reports to the Director of SMR Product Development and directly supports one or more Project Managers in day-to-day coordination of project management activities.
- Facilitates the preparation and implementation of work plans for discrete scopes of work.
- Coordinates and expedites cross-functional scopes as assigned.
- Develops and maintains various project logs (decisions, issues, risks)
- Coordinates and tracks interfaces with other projects.
- Monitors work in progress and prepares periodic (nominally weekly) reports on the status of each assignment.
- Develops and maintains relevant and timely information on project websites.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in in a technical or business-related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 + years of full-time experience working with large projects as part of a project management organization, in the energy industry, is required. Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) or equivalent professional certification is preferred. Understanding of engineering, manufacturing, construction and/or IT projects and terminology based on past project work preferred. Strong technical writing and presentation skills. Good communication, computer, presentation and interpersonal skills are required.- Industry Requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
