BLOC Resources is seeking a detail-oriented and creative Content Developer 1 (IT) – Junior Instructional Designer to support training content development for instructor-led training (ILT) and eLearning environments.
This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with a passion for learning design, multimedia development, and content creation. The selected candidate will work under the guidance of senior instructional designers to develop, update, and maintain high-quality training materials that align with organizational standards and learning objectives.
- Update and enhance PowerPoint presentations for instructor-led and virtual training sessions
- Assist in recording, editing, and implementing narration for eLearning and presentation-based content
- Support development of facilitator guides, job aids, storyboards, and basic eLearning modules
- Ensure all materials align with branding standards, templates, formatting guidelines, and accessibility requirements
- Apply foundational instructional design principles and adult learning concepts under guidance
- Assist in aligning training content with learning objectives and course outcomes
- Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback from senior designers and stakeholders
- Test eLearning courses in staging and production environments to ensure functionality and quality
- Maintain course files, documentation, and assets within SharePoint
- Support version control, publishing processes, and content updates
- Track project timelines and updates using tools such as Monday.com
- Assist senior designers with project coordination, timelines, and deliverables
- Support meeting coordination, note-taking, and documentation of feedback
- Communicate effectively with team members, instructors, and subject matter resources (SMRs)
- Research and gather best practices related to instructional design, learning technologies, and multimedia
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Communications, or a related field preferred
- 0–3 years of experience in instructional design, content development, or multimedia (internships/practicum acceptable)
- Basic understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theory
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Familiarity with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate 360 or similar platforms
- Experience with narration/voiceover tools and multimedia editing (Adobe Creative Cloud or similar preferred)
- Exposure to Learning Management Systems (LMS) preferred
- Experience using collaboration and documentation tools such as SharePoint and Microsoft Teams
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and consistency
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Capable of tracking project progress and maintaining organized documentation
- Ability to clearly communicate ideas and incorporate feedback
