The Container Shop Manager is responsible for all functions in the container shop, which includes planning, organizing, supervising, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and container repair/custom orders.
- Responsible for ordering supplies needed for the container shop while staying within budget.
- Maintain container inventory counts online.
- Organizes labor needs for the container shop and/or installations.
- Responsible for all shipping and receiving, which involves the accurate handling of incoming and outgoing shipments, inspecting items for damage, updating inventory records, and preparing items for shipping by packaging, labeling and arranging for carriers.
- Ability to build custom containers, per customer's specifications.
- Oversee all container repairs, including validation of weld quality.
- Ensure all safety standards are maintained or exceeded
- Operate within a financial set budget
- Collaborate with the operations team for successful inventory and deployment of assets.
- Employees in this job classification must attend and participate in corporation sponsored training courses as assigned.
- Employees in this job classification are responsible for keeping up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used by Waste Pro USA.
- Any additional job duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and maintenance software programs (e.g. Dossier, etc.).
- Must be Forklift Certified.
- Must have basic financial acumen.
- Certified Welder (multiple metals).
- Must be customer service oriented by providing accurate and timely information, building sustainable relationships, identifying customer needs, maintaining empathy and a positive attitude.
