Role Overview

Teck Alaska Incorporated, Red Dog Operations, one of the world's largest producers of zinc concentrate, is recruiting for a Temporary Container Management Operator. Due to anticipated needs, we are currently recruiting for a career oriented individual to fill these roles.

Rotation will be 2 weeks on-site with 2 weeks off-site

Key Responsibilities

- Operate heavy equipment which includes, but not limited to:

- Hyster V1050, Forklifts, Tractor/Trailer, Medium Sized Vehicles, 966 loader

- Collect, clean and inspect shipping containers

- Maintain container database

- Prepare items for southbound shipment

- Promote high standards of housekeeping and safety

- Work directly with team members during shipping season

- Assist Logistics with barge administrative tasks

- Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Valid and current Drivers License

- Positive and safe work history

- Basic computer skills

- Previous equipment experience

- Must be able to obtain a TWIC card

- Must be service and team-oriented and exhibit sound judgement

- Possess a high level of urgency to get work completed while keeping safety at the forefront

- Able to work in a physically demanding environment
