Job Description: Construction Technician

Position Overview: The Construction Technician is responsible for performing a variety of physical tasks and providing support as part of the wood pole inspection and reinforcement teams. The primary function of this position is to excavate around utility poles with a shovel, this role also involves assisting skilled workers, operating basic machinery and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Physical Requirements:

+ Strength: Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects and equipment. + Endurance: Capability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods without excessive fatigue. + Hand-eye Coordination: Essential for operating machinery and tools accurately. + Manual Dexterity: Ability to handle tools and materials skillfully and safely. + Flexibility: Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs. + Balance: Maintaining physical stability while performing tasks, especially on uneven or unstable surfaces. + Healthy Back and Joints: Essential due to the repetitive bending, lifting, and carrying. + Cardiovascular Health: Good overall physical fitness to handle strenuous activities.

Pay Scale: $19.00-25.00 / hour
