As a Sunbelt Restoration of Florida Field Superintendent, you will provide overall on-site superintendence for a project, while ensuring the total constructive efforts are in accordance with the plans and specifications and are communicated to all parties involved.
Commercial Field Superintendent coordinates with the Project Manager, client, estimator, & crew. This position is located out of our Destin, FL office
· 5+ years of experience within the construction industry (Restoration Experience is a preferred but not required)
· Ability to lead multiple crews spread among multiple jobs
· Able to work independently without significant supervision, highly self-motivated
· MS excel, word, and outlook knowledge is a plus
· Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications
· Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
· Must be able to work outside in extreme heat and changing weather conditions
· Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week and overtime when necessary
· Must have reliable transportation to get to differing job locations.
· Collaborate with the project manager in preparing of project schedules and activities, sequence of work items, manpower allocation and construction tools/equipment required for the project
· Ensure project work is in compliance with specifications and drawings
· Direct and control the construction project to the allotted time schedule in an efficient manner to produce the expected profit
· Inform all supervisors promptly of any construction schedule changes
· Assist in the preparation of all job progress and cost reports to accurately reflect actual costs
· Input crew’s time and production accurately daily
· Identify existing and predictable hazards to work surroundings, including working conditions that are unsanitary, hazardous and/or dangerous to employees. Ensure that the crew and jobsite meet the requirements of the safety protocol of the company, as well as, OSHA.
· Report regularly to the project manager to keep them constantly informed on job progress, plans, and problems that could significantly affect costs or schedules
· Demonstrate leadership skills with ability and willingness to face challenges, direct others, and effectively address conflict
· Exhibit commitment to quality by evaluating project-related processes, making necessary changes and meeting/exceeding internal and external customer expectations
· Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and the employees while maintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations
