About This Job
Scope Overview:
In addition to the duties in the current site inspection manual, the Construction Manager performs the following tasks:
•Act as the central point of contact between the contractor team, site inspectors, construction support, third-party visitors/auditors, Indigenous communities (if applicable), and the Owner's Engineer.
•Attend and support meetings involving contractors or stakeholders as needed.
•Support the Project Manager with all construction-related activities and document reviews.
•Lead and coordinate the on-site inspection team.
•Request and report on overtime approvals and ensure appropriate tracking for invoicing.
•Ensure site inspectors are adequately equipped and submit timely reports.
•Recommend staffing increases when required.
•Provide technical or logistical support as needed.
•Offer coaching and supervision to the construction team.
•Review and revise site inspection reports.
•Cover for inspectors or take over responsibilities when needed.
