About This Job
Scope Overview:
In addition to the duties in the current site inspection manual, the Construction Manager performs the following tasks:
•
Act as the central point of contact between the contractor team, site inspectors, construction support, third-party visitors/auditors, Indigenous communities (if applicable), and the Owner's Engineer.
•
Attend and support meetings involving contractors or stakeholders as needed.
•
Support the Project Manager with all construction-related activities and document reviews.
•
Lead and coordinate the on-site inspection team.
•
Request and report on overtime approvals and ensure appropriate tracking for invoicing.
•
Ensure site inspectors are adequately equipped and submit timely reports.
•
Recommend staffing increases when required.
•
Provide technical or logistical support as needed.
•
Offer coaching and supervision to the construction team.
•
Review and revise site inspection reports.
•
Cover for inspectors or take over responsibilities when needed.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months
