Job Summary: As a Construction Quality Assurance Coordinator, you will coordinate, benchmark, oversee, and close out URD, OVH, and Street Light Projects. Inspect installation of these facilities to ensure quality and compliance with Company standards and procedures, and compliance with various governmental agency requirements. Reports to Distribution Project Management Manager and perform duties in compliance with company and department procedures.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
•Assign and field check work in connection with construction of the distribution system associated with URD, OVH, and Street Lighting Projects.
•Oversee new construction and assure that all work is performed in accordance with Company standards, procedures, and safe work practices and in compliance with government regulations.
•Field check street repairs and other restoration work resulting from project work for quality.
•Visit job sites to assure that the construction work is being performed according to plans, to discuss any problems that may occur and to check the quality and quantity of work being performed by our employees and contractor(s).
•Communicate with contractors to maintain good relations and to assure satisfaction with construction progress.
•Counsel with supervisor and management on all pertinent matters related to construction and assist in the preparation of project budget as applicable.
•Check project reports, work orders and billing for timeliness, accuracy, and completeness.
•Ensure that all project documentation and close out requirements are handled in compliance with SAP process flow guidelines. • Perform material analysis in SAP and make comment entries when necessary.
•Review Project(s) Report daily to monitor status of construction work.
•Support the Service Consultant with coordination of project work with other departments such as RTO, dispatchers, and engineering.
•Field check proposed job sites to coordinate activities with city, county or state improvement projects, other utilities, and customers to avoid conflicts.
•Assign and route work for Company crews and contractors according to pre-determined work schedule priorities. • Occasionally prepares cost estimates on special projects.
•Remain current with new practices, new tools or equipment, new materials, and new techniques by attending operational meetings and reading various publications.
•Assist management team in monitoring construction deadlines using the Customer Need Date Report.
•Must demonstrate commitment to compliance with applicable laws and regulations, the Company's Ethics and Compliance Code of Conduct, and other Company policies and procedures, and take all required training courses.
•Must Demonstrate respect for all Individuals and adhere to the Company's values and business procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
•High School Diploma or GED.
•Preferred minimum seven (7) years electric distribution work experience.
