Adena Corporation Lakeland is looking for a Concrete Foreman to join our growing team in Lakeland, FL! In this role, you'll manage the daily placement and finishing of concrete pours while ensuring safety, quality, and teamwork on every project. As a key member of our field leadership, you’ll work closely with project managers, crew members, and other foremen to keep projects moving smoothly. •Ensures field personnel follow daily pour activities as outlined by management
•Works to ensure that obstacles are overcome to enable the field personnel to effectively and efficiently place and finish the slab
•Able to read and understand blueprints and drawings
•Completes daily reports, extra work tickets, safety forms and other documents as required
•Works with the management team to create pour plans for each job including the required manpower, equipment, supplies etc.
•Works with other foremen to share manpower resources when needed between projects
•Ensures that employees follow established policies and procedures
•Participates in the proper training of field employees
•Represents the company in a positive and professional manner including in the community
•Adheres to the company’s safety policies to create a safe work environment
•Other duties as assigned
•30 Hour OSHA Certification
•Good communication skills
•Leadership seminars/training preferred
•Thorough knowledge of construction procedures and safety plan and OSHA regulations
•Two (2) years’ prior leadership experience preferred
•Personal initiative and ability to prioritize work independently
•This position will require daily travel to jobsites with no need for permanent office
•Successful candidate must be high energy and have the ability to develop strong relationships with project managers, other foreman, field personnel, and temporary agencies
•Must be capable of multi-tasking, problem solving and working in a fast-paced environment
•Must maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
•Ability to work in a team environment while portraying a positive attitude and maintaining confidentiality
