This role also includes inventory control, Certified Data Destruction (CDD), device sanitization, and shipping/receiving responsibilities. Additional duties include cleaning electronics for shipment, auditing inventory, and palletizing IT assets such as PCs, laptops, printers, monitors, and removable devices.Key ResponsibilitiesITAD / Technical Duties
- Perform data sanitization and factory resets
- Serialization (asset tagging and tracking of IT equipment)
- Test, diagnose, and repair laptops, desktops, printers, and other electronic devices
- Replace and upgrade hardware components (RAM, storage, internal parts)
- Install and remove operating systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve device faults and performance issues
- Evaluate electronic components using provided diagnostic tools/software
- Inspect parts for quality compliance
- Clean and prepare electronics for e-commerce shipment
- Support secure data destruction processes (CDD compliance)
- Locate, weigh-out, stage, and load outgoing items as directed by the Supervisor
- Verify materials against work orders to ensure accuracy of quantities, destinations, and routing
- Perform physical cycle counts of outbound materials
- Select appropriate shipping containers and properly package materials for safe delivery
- Unload incoming materials from trailers and transport them to designated areas
- Receive shipments following company procedures (inspection, documentation, and control)
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage or defects; report discrepancies to supervisor
- Complete receiving documentation tied to project or lot numbers
- Register and process materials according to company policies
- Unbox, sort, and organize incoming equipment
- Track inventory and perform cycle counts
- Operate cardboard baler, pallet wrapper, hard drive shredder, electric forklift, and reach truck (training provided)
- Palletize and stage IT equipment for shipment or processing
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Experience with laptops, desktops, tablets (iPads, Android devices)
- Strong troubleshooting, repair, and diagnostic skills
- Experience with mobile device repair (screens, batteries, internal components, software flashing/unlocking)
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Fast learner with ability to multitask in a warehouse/technical environment
- Comfortable lifting up to 20 lbs regularly
